I was thinking of writing about my favorite products of the week or month ,but the problem is that my favorite products don't necessarily change every week and some times not even every month,so I thought the best way is sharing the products I have been loving this season with you!
It doesn't mean that these are the only things I have been using or loving since there are some products I use and love pretty much always how ever these are what I reached for more than the others recently. Some of them are new products or new to me and some are things that I've had for a while.
Lets get started;

Skin care

Is this a long name or what :)? I have been really enjoying these anti aging capsules these past few months .They are very hydrating and make my skin feels very soft and smooth and also the texture of my skin seems a lot more even ever since I started using them . I apply one capsule on my face and neck every night and rub the left over on my hands(there is a lot of serum in each capsule) ,and my hands are so soft  because of them!
This serum has oil consistency but after it absorbs to your skin it does not feel greasy at all.

I love this product so much .It is so hydrating .I apply it on my face, neck, chest, hands and hair!

I always love deep cleansing tools and products but during the fall and winter time skin is  duller and drier and this amazing tool helps to get rid of dead skin cells faster and cleans my pores so mush better than hands alone!

During the drier and colder seasons I always switch my skin care and foundation to more hydrating options. This fall I tried mac mineralize foundation for the first time and I have been loving it so much.The coverage is medium but it can be built up to full coverage I am NC 20 and it matches my skin perfectly .It blends very nice and looks very natural.

I have been  reaching for these two concealer more than the others recently .I apply mac on my face if I need to cover any spot or redness and  apply maybelline magic lumi in radiant under my eyes between my eye brows on my forehead and on the top of my cheeks for brightening these areas of my face .I have been loving them both.

Blush

I have been wearing these two blushes a lot more than the others recently and I've been really enjoying them both.

This is a very nice neutral every day light pink.The quality of this blush is amazing. It blends easily and stay put for a long time.

Benefit Rockateur

I purchased this one recently and I have been wearing it most of the days ever since.
It is a beautiful rosy pink blush  and very natural.

Highlighter

During the cooler months I prefer liquid or cream highlighter more than the powder ,and I have been enjoying either one of these highlighters pretty much every day.Both of them have champagne/gold  sheen.They are great for either soft and subtle youthful glow or glamorous night time shine!

This is a very beautiful mixture of taupe and pink mini palette.The quality of these eye shadows are fantastic.They are buttery smooth, blend easily and stay put all day.

 This one is a gorgeous quad to create multiple eye look from soft day look to day time smokey eye or dramatic night time smokey .I absolutely love it .

 I got my hands on this palette recently . It seems that they can't keep it on the shelves.Every time I went to my local target it was sold out ! It has rapidly become one of my favorite palettes .pretty much every matte eyeshadow color I need is in this little palette. Great quality and very reasonable price !

Wet n Wild single shadow

This one is another oldie but goodie that I am sure most of you already know or have it! It is a gorgeous taupe. In days that I am not in the mood to fuss so much about my makeup and yet want to look polish and Nice I just go for this beautiful color and call it a day.It is a must have in my book!

Lips

This fall I have been wearing either deep colors or nude most of the days and these lipsticks are what I reached for the most;

I received this lipstick in a gift with purchase last summer. It is a beautiful deep Burgundy , great for fall and very wearable.It doesn't have any shine or shimmer and it is very creamy and smooth.

Mac Hot Tahiti

This lipstick is a very deep red and even though I am not really a red lipstick lover I absolutely enjoy wearing this one .I think since it is very deep it is more wearable and easier to pull off.

The next two are the neutral /nude lipsticks I have been wearing  a lot this season;

This is a beautiful  nude color that is not too pink ,not too peach and not to pale! These lipsticks are very creamy and soft .There is no shine or shimmer in them and they are very hydrating and last very long.

This is another every day beautiful neutral color that I have been wearing a lot recently. These Revlon matte lipsticks are a little drying but I always wear lip balm underneath and lips gloss over any lipstick so it doesn't bother me too much.

 lastly ; I have been wearing these 2 lip liners so many days ,either around a lipstick or on their own with a gloss over the top.

The color of the lid is very true to the color of lip liner itself. It is a nice creamy lip liner and the color is a beautiful dusty rose that goes with so many lipsticks.

This is a gorgeous pink/coral color.This lip liner last very long .I have been wearing it with milani nude  a lot or some times alone with a lip gloss over the top.

Josie Maran organic argan oil moisturizer review

I was always very interested yet hesitant to try argan oil!  Interested for all the good things I hear and read about it and hesitant because I had a bad experience with using coconut oil on my skin before, so I was a little scared of applying oil on my face again. I know a lot of people use coconut oil as their moisturizer or makeup remover but for me it did not work and it clogged my pores badly!
 
Any way I finally gave in and ordered the small size argan oil which is 15 ml (5 fl oz) from Josie Maran website for14.00$ .I was not even half way through the bottle that I put another order for bigger size (1.7 fl oz )50 ml (48.00 $) because I realized I don't want to be without it!!

This product is 100% pure organic and natural argania spinosa kernel(argan)oil.

I did a lot of research about the oil,the benefits, the process of extracting it ,the way they test it afterward to make sure it is free of bacteria and then I ordered it .I apply it on my face as my night moisturizer and I am in love with it!  It is very light weight and absorbs nicely .It does not leave my face feeling greasy and it didn't clog my pores! :)

The products claims to:

1. prevent free radical damage
2. protect skin from environment
3. improve radiance
4. control sebum production
5. reduce hyper pigmentation

 I have been using it for almost 2months on my face,hair and hands.I finished the small bottle and started the big one.I put five drops on my hand ,rub my hands together and message it on my face, neck and chest every night.I also apply 3 drops on my damp or dry hair before styling.

Here is my experience :

1. It has made my skin very soft and glowy after a few days
2. It definitely reduced some of my stubborn age/sun spots
3. It did not clogged my pores
4. I only apply it at night but it keeps my skin hydrated all day
5. It is an oil but surprisingly it does control oil production so I have been less shiny on my T zone lately
6. It makes my hair very soft ,shiny, silky and frizz free

 I absolutely love this product and for sure I don't want to be without it!

It is a little pricey but considering the hard process of extracting it(I link a video of it down below)and all the benefits it gives and the fact that a little of it goes a long way...to me it worth every penny.

e.l.f Mineral blush review

Hi 

I ordered 2 mineral blushes from e.l.f  recently and  these are the first products I have ever purchased from this company .
The reason that I ordered these blushes was that I originally went to e.l.f website to order their lip exfoliator since I heard so many good things about it and fall and winter weather makes my lips dry and chapped all the time and it is almost impossible to find e.l.f products in Canada at least where I live!  considering that they have a ridiculously large shipping fee to Canada(14 $ !!!!! ,Which I had a c upon for 6.00 $ of it) I thought at least I try some other products too!

I purchased  Joy and Rose and I am so glad I did. These blushes are amazing! They are 5.00 $ each. They are highly pigmented. I have been wearing them this week every day. They blend beautifully and last  a long time! I absolutely love them. Both of the colors I ordered are gorgeous!

This one is a very soft neutral pink .Very pretty and perfect for every day makeup .

This one is more like some thing between dusty rose and coral ! I apply this one with a very light hand.It is super pigmented,a little goes along way,very pretty .

I highly recommend checking them out.They are perfect and for 5.00 $ ! you can't go wrong.
How ever you should know that the expiry date on them is 3 months after you open them.It is very short, So if you are like me and take the expiry date of the products seriously I suggest not to purchase too many of them at once!

Rave & Review of Revlon Lash Potion mascara

Today I finished 3 month using of new Revlon lash potion mascara.Normally I would throw it in my empty bag for next finished products and mini reviews but I thought I really want to dedicate an entire blog post to this mascara and review it for you separately ,So if you are in the market to shop mascara maybe you consider this.

I purchased this while back I believe for 8.99 CAD to try it even though I was not a big fan of the previous version of it(Grow luscious mascara) .All I have to say is in my opinion this mascara is one of the best mascaras that I have ever tried.I got it in blackest black .It has  a  big size(not too huge)boar bristle wand .

The wand is amazing ,it grabs just about right amount of product .The formula is not too wet and not too dry ,just right! I have very average lashed and the color of my lashed is dark blond to light brown .That's why I always get the blackest black shade and I have very sensitive eyes.

With even one coat it gives such an amazing length and  good enough volume without clumping the lashes.I usually put 2 coat on my upper lashes and one coat on my lower lashes.

I don't like to wear false eyelashes so I like that mascara gives my lashes enough length and  a decent volume and I believe this one does a good job. (Consider that length and volume is much more in person than the picture you see) For  staying power even tough I don't have the water proof version it stays put without flaking all day.

At night I remove it with my makeup remover(Bioderma) and it is not too hard to remove .As I mentioned I have sensitive eyes and it didn't irritate my eyes at all. (Which is different in every person)

I absolutely love this mascara.I really recommend checking it out.I know I will  repurchase it over and over.

Products I've used up & Mini Review

I've been very busy during the summer which is not technically over yet! however now that kids are back to school I have more time in my hand to focus more on my blog!
I have used up so many products ,so I will divide them  in to  two posts ,the other one will be only skin care products I've used up and mini reviews which will be hopefully up very soon.Let's get started!

Makeup

I've used up so many mascaras and the reason is that I had more than one open mascara and I don't normally do that because based on Ophthalmologist advice you should not continue using a mascara more than 4 months.It attracts a lot of bacterias which is very dangerous for your eyes and can cause irritation and infection! So I toss them right after 4 months no matter they are finished or not! So I usually open one mascara at a time.

I have to say I wasn't a big fan of this at the beginning but after using it for a while it became my absolute favorite mascara! The formula is dry which I like ,It has a good size boar bristle wand which gives lots of volume and length to your eye lashes .It is very inexpensive.I already have a backup of it.

This is another favorite mascara from Almay. I love the wand of this mascara so much. It has to sides one for lengthening and the other to add volume.It is thin enough for the bottom lashes too.I will definitely repurchase it.

benefit BAD gal lash 

I know so many people love this mascara but unfortunately I am not one of them.It came in a package with hoola bronzer for 36.00 CAD . I am a big fan of drugstore mascaras and normally don't pay a big buck for mascara because I believe it is unnecessary investment .I can find great mascaras at the drugstore with the fraction of the cost! Specially that I will toss it after 4 months! this mascara has dry formula with a huge boar bristle wand  but it did not make my lashes any fuller or longer than my almay getup and grow so I would not pay 26.00 CAD for it!

benefit they're real!

 

I received this mascara in sephora's birthday gift pack.I don't like this mascara at all.I stopped using it after a week! the formula is not as dry as I like it to be and it has a rubber wand which is very pointy and sharp bristles! I poked my eye a few times with it.Beside the wand I didn't see a huge change in the length or volume of my lashes either! I will not purchase the full size for sure!

 I enjoyed applying it while I had it! The brush is tiny and great for bottom lashes.The formula is light weight which is again fantastic for the purpose. Overall it is good product ,however I will not repurchase it only because I am too lazy to apply 2 different mascaras at a time.Most of the time I just garbed it because I had it and I felt guilty not using it.I am more comfortable to apply the same mascara on my top and bottom lashes both! :) Price 12.00 CAD

I absolutely love maybelline color tattoos specially this color.As you can see I only have a bit left around the bottom of the jar which is a little dry now and hard to apply. I have so many different shades of them but this one is my go to shade. Some times when I am in a rush this is the only eyeshadow I apply .It is beautiful, creamy, blends easily and stays all day. If you haven't tried it yet I strongly recommend it 
  Even though I have so many eye shadows which I have to go through still I repurchased this one before I finished it!

I apply it mostly for highlighting (above my eyebrows,on the bridge of my nose and on my cupids bow)
but some times I apply it as my under eye concealer as well. I will always repurchase it.It brighten the places that needs a little highlighting nicely! the color is beautiful and blends easily.

I have several shades of these lip liners. They are between 5.00 to 7.00 CAD depends on the store .Very inexpensive,very creamy,great shades and they are retractable which is great, no need to sharpen them! This shade is one of my very favorites. I always repurchase it.

I took out every bit of this lip gloss as much as I could! This says how much I love it.The formula of the creamsheen lip glosses is great ,they are creamy not at all sticky. The stay like most lip glosses not for long .The shades are beautiful. I have a few other shades of them .I will absolutely repurchase this one again.I mostly pair it with mac lipstick in cream cup or wet and wild matte lipstick in think pink.

Even though  I am a mac lover I absolutely hate this lip gloss!! It is so sticky that every time I applied it I had all of my hair sticking on my lips specially on windy days!! You know what I mean.
It does make the lipstick shiny and lasts a decent amount of time but I didn't reach for it too much only because of stickiness of this gloss.It is not completely done but I can't stand it anymore so I am tossing it! If you are some one who doesn't like sticky lip glosses stay away from it!

Hair

TRESemme Thermal creations 

 

This is a heat protecting spray which I am sure most of you know and probably used.It is OK in my opinion! ( for sure not the best). I think it makes my hair feel a little heavy .You know when you feel you have too much products on your hair ! 
I am not a big fan of it and I will not repurchase it.


And last but not least;

Loreal Elnet Satin hair spray

This has been my one and only favorite hair spray since I was in high school! I love it .It is a great hair spray. Very light weight doesn't make your hair feel sticky or heavy.It holds the style very good for a long time.I always repurchase it before I run out!

CLINIQUE Moisture Surge CC Cream review

Two weeks ago I picked up  2 samples of  new clinique Moisture Surge CC Cream in light and very light.

I have been using them both ever since every morning and this is my thoughts about this product.

It comes in 1.4 oz tube and has Broad Spectrum SPF 30 .It is oil free and comes in 8 shades.As I mentioned I have light and very light which both are a little dark for my skin tone(MAC NC 20 for reference). I can get away with it now that my skin is a bit darker because of the sun but I feel they will be too dark for me during the winter time .I feel they both have a bit of a pink undertone and very light one is not much lighter than the light one !! I don't have the full size cream So I insert  an image of the full size from Google for you .

 This is what the product claims to do:

  color-correcting formula smooths the complexion and creates an ultra natural radiance. It instantly corrects a range of complexion concerns including dullness, sallowness, and redness. Perfect for wearing alone or under foundation and recommended for all skin types, the lightweight, oil-free cream moisturizes and protects with sunscreen, leaving the skin soft, fresh, and flawless. 

 My experience:

First off as I mentioned  all of the shades are a little dark for people like me with fair skin.It has a thick and creamy consistency which blends easily .I apply it with my fingers and go over my face with my blending brush (Sigma angled kabuki-F84). 

It gives a light to medium coverage which I like for every day ,but If I want to cover every thing I need to apply concealer on my sun spots.It gives satin finish.It gives a little glow to skin but not too much in my opinion to make you look  oily.It is very light wight.

I apply my daily moisturiser underneath,I don't feel it has enough hydration for my skin. It stays nicely throughout the day .On my T zone I become a little shiny after 4 to 5 hrs but nothing major.

It didn't break me out. In general I like this cream and I might purchase the full size and the only reason I say I might is the darkness of the shades.

Price is 39.00 CAD and you can find it at sephora or any Clinique counter.

I ordered  a few things from cherry culture.com recently ,including 3 of NYX butter gloss lip glosses .
Here is my review of them and swatches .I ordered Peaches and cream  03 which is very similar to Mac Nikki Minaj lip gloss to me,beautiful medium coral/pink ,Creme Brulee 05 which is a beautiful nude color and Merengue 04  a beautiful blue based pink.They are 8 ml with doe foot applicator.

Pros: 

• They are reach and very creamy lip glosses.
• The color pay off is great ,nicely pigmented can be worn alone or over lipstick
• Staying power is very good for a lip gloss
• They have a pleasant vanilla scent
• They don't have any taste which I like!
• The color range is absolutely beautiful
• Price is amazing ( 5.00 $ at cherry Culture )
