Current Favorite Hair Products

Hi
After a long absent, I am back!
I want to share my new favorite hair products which mostly contain natural product since I am trying to switch to natural hair and skin care as much as I can (not completely yet).
These are the products that I have been using and loving for a few months now.

 1.  Desert essence coconut Shampoo:

It is 100% vegan, parabens, sulfates, phthalates, artificial colors, silicone, glycol or petroleum based ingredients free. It is cruelty free, and certified organic .It is a nourishing shampoo for dry hair. I purchase this from health food (organic) store. However, you can purchase it on line aswell.
Ever since I started using this shampoo, I feel my hair is more moisturized without feeling greasy and weight down. It cleans very well without making it dried out. I feel my hair looks shinier and healthier.

2.  Desert essence coconut conditioner:

It is 100% vegan, parabens, sulfates, phthalates, artificial colors, silicone, glycol or petrolatum based ingredients free. It is cruelty free, and certified organic. Just like the shampoo, this is nourishing conditioner for dry hair. It makes my hair silky smooth without feeling greasy.

3. Virgin coconut oil

I massage a dime size of this 100% pure and natural oil in my hands warm it up then apply it on towel-dried hair mostly at the ends and body of my hair as a leaving conditioner.
some times I apply a larger amount before I wash my hair on my dry hair all over, including the scalp leave it on for as long as I can as a hair mask and then wash my hair .It makes my hair dreamy soft and silky and I am a heavy flat iron user that makes my hair very dry. Using coconut oil as a hair mask undoes the entire damage that iron makes.
There are different types of coconut oil (deodorized, hydrogenated ) but virgin coconut oil is the purest and the best. I do not believe it matters which brand of coconut oil you use as long as it is pure, virgin and certified. You can purchase coconut oil from any health food store.

3. Macadamia natural oil

I apply a dime size of this oil on my towel-dried hair as well. This oil absorbs easily and fast and makes my hair silky, tangle free and smooth. You can purchase macadamia oil from most beauty supply stores.

4. Desert Essence coconut hair Defrizzer&Heat protector

This natural heat protecting spray contains so many good ingredients like coconut oil, jojoba oil, aloe leaf juice, glycerin ,vitamin E, soy protein and... Which all  protect hair against heat and help detangling and defrizzing the hair.
You can apply it on dry or wet hair. It is 100% vegan and wheat ,gluten and silicone free.
I spray it on my damp hair all over right before blow drying and ironing.
It can be purchased from any health food store.

Ever since I've been using these products my hair is healthier and silky smooth and shinier. I have long normal hair .My hair is not coarse and it it not fine either and I use flat iron almost after every wash!
I hope it is helpful!

Must have basic face brushes

You don't need to have thousands of brushes or multiple sets of them to create a nice look, but you definitely need some basic brushes for that, and here they are.

1) Foundation brush,

Of course we can apply foundation with our fingers but it would never blend the way it would when you use a brush. My favourite:
Sigma F80 - flat kabuki

2)Concealer brush,

this brush will help you to apply under eye concealer easier and nicer without pulling the delicate skin under the eyes.
My favourite:
Sigma P86 - precision tapered

3)Powder blush brush

I prefer  not too dense brushes that are soft enough. In addition, I like to have more than one blush brush to use for different colors, like one for pinks, one for peaches and one for neutrals, so I don't need to clean them right after each application.
My favourites:

  • Sigma F10 - powder/blush

  • Spa resource F10 - powder/blush

4)Cream blush or high lighter brush,

You will have a lot cleaner and more natural result by applying cream blush with brush rather than fingers. My favourite:
Sigma F55 - small duo fibre

5)Contour brush,

Just as the name applies, this brush is needed for contouring.
My favourite:
Sigma F40 - large angled contour

6)Powder brush,

This one is needed to apply loose or press powder .my favourite:

Sigma F20 - large powder

7)Bronzer brush,

Bronzer can be applied with powder brush too, but I personally prefer a separate brush for that and my favourite:
Spa resource
pro-series stipple

Last but not least

8)High lighter brush,

to apply powder highlight on the face. My favourite:
Sigma F35 - tapered highlighter.

Must have basic eye makeup brushes

  •    Eyeliner brush

I like very thin brush if I want to draw a thin and close line to lashes ,but if I want a little bolder line I prefer the brush with a pointy head but thicker base .This kind gives you  more control and bolder look.So it's good to have both kinds in your brush collection.

My two favourites:
a)      Sigma Small Eye Liner - E10 for precise and thin line  9:00 $

   b)      Sigma  Eye Liner - E05 that has pointy head and thicker base  9:00$

  • Eye shadow brushes

1)Flat eye shadow brush

to pack powder eye shadow on the lid

        My Favourite:
        *Sigma Eye Shading - E55 9:00 $
I absolutely love this brush .It is the best for the job . It is dense, very soft and grabs enough product and doesn't shed.

    2) Fluffy brush for blending

These brushes are good for blending eye shadow in the crease to make harsh lines blend and look softer .

          My favourites:
a)      Sigma Blending - E25  9:00 $
Great brush for blending .This is great size, blends wonderfully ,perfect for powder or cream eyeshadow, doesn't shed

b)      Sigma Tapered Blending - E35  11:00 $
Another great blending brush to get softer look, this one is a little longer and gives a very soft blended look, doesn't shed.

3) Cream eye shadow brush

Cream eye shadow can be applied by fingers ,but I prefer using a brush .This way it will be applied nicer and we won't dip our fingers in the shadow.

My favourite:
                    * Spa resource cream shadow brush
I love this brush, under 3:00 $, applies eye shadow on the lid perfectly, grabs enough product and blend it very nicely, doesn't shed.

4)  Highlighter brush

I use this one to apply highlighter under eyebrow.

My favourite:
               *spa resource eye sweep
this is a big fluffy flat brush, great for the job, very soft, and again never sheds.

5) Smudging Brush

This one is good to create Smokey look and transfers harsh eyeliner to soft smudged look.

My favourite:
                    *Spa resource eye smudge
This is great quality brush .very inexpensive,  under 4:00 $, very soft .

6) Pencil Brush

This brush is great to apply eye shadow in very thin spaces like inner corner or under eye.

My Favourite:

Sigma  pencil-E 30. 9:00 $    very good brush ,dense and very soft, doesn't shed.

  •   Eye brow definer

This brush is great to apply eye shadow to eyebrow to fill up empty spaces.
My favourite:
*Spa resource eye & brow definer
Great brush under3:00 $ doesn't shed, very dense & soft & great for the job.

These are my must have eye brushes, very basic brushes that you need to create any eye look. I hope this is helpful.

Marcelle BB cream Review

I have been using Marcelle BB cream for almost 3 weeks and these are my thoughts about this cream.
What it claims: lightweight moisturizer with adaptive pigment to even out the skin tone. Formulated with powerful anti oxidants, aloe Vera and chamomile to help protect and improve skin appearance.

Marcelle BB cream in Light medium

The cream comes in  a tube with a pump .It is perfume free, which I like because of my sensitivity to perfumes I always choose fragrance free skin care products. In addition, it is Paraben free. It comes in two shades light medium and medium dark. I have it in light medium. It doesn’t have any UV protection :( .

Pros:

  1. It does adjust to my skin tone and gives a nice light to medium coverage
  2. It is like a light moisturizer as it claims, so it is  very nice for summer time that you do not need to much moisturizer.
  3. Perfume free    :)
  4. Paraben free :)
  5. Hypo- allergenic, (It did not break me out which so many skin products do.)
  6. It gives a nice glow, satin finish but it is not shiny and greasy
  7. Stays nice for long.
  8. The price is reasonable (22.95 CAD for 45 ml)

Con:
  1. It does not have UV protection, considering that you expect BB cream to be multi-tasking ,so you don’t have to apply so many products! With this one, you still need to apply sun protection underneath.

Will I buy it again? Yes, but only until I find another perfume free BB cream, with good price, with SUN PROTECTION available where I live!

Where to buy this product?
