You don't need to have thousands of brushes or multiple sets
of them to create a nice look, but you definitely need some basic brushes for that,
and here they are.
1) Foundation brush,
Of course we can apply foundation with our
fingers but it would never blend the way it would when you use a brush. My
favourite:
Sigma F80 - flat kabuki
2)Concealer brush,
this brush will help you to apply under eye
concealer easier and nicer without pulling the delicate skin under the eyes.
My favourite:
Sigma P86 - precision tapered
3)Powder blush brush
I prefer not too dense brushes that are soft enough. In
addition, I like to have more than one blush brush to use for different colors,
like one for pinks, one for peaches and one for neutrals, so I don't need to
clean them right after each application.
My favourites:
- Sigma F10 - powder/blush
- Spa resource F10 - powder/blush
4)Cream blush or high lighter brush,
You will have a lot
cleaner and more natural result by applying cream blush with brush rather than fingers.
My favourite:
Sigma F55 - small duo fibre
5)Contour brush,
Just as the name applies, this brush is needed for contouring.
My favourite:
Sigma F40 - large angled contour
6)Powder brush,
This one is needed to apply loose or press
powder .my favourite:
Sigma F20 - large powder
7)Bronzer brush,
Bronzer can be applied with powder brush too,
but I personally prefer a separate brush for that and my favourite:
Spa resource
pro-series stipple
Last but not least
8)High lighter brush,
to apply powder highlight on the face.
My favourite:
Sigma F35 - tapered highlighter.
